Thread Lifting Applications – Brow Lift

3/16/2026 Authors: Dr. Levent Ünal

Brow lift is one of the minimally invasive thread lifting procedures aimed at achieving a youthful, dynamic, and balanced appearance in the upper third of the face. As part of the aging process, the downward displacement of the brow position may result in a tired, harsh, or sad facial expression. Brow lift procedures aim to correct this descent without the need for surgical intervention.

The primary goal of brow lifting is to create a lifting effect while preserving the natural anatomical contour of the brow, without producing an excessively elevated or artificial appearance. Before treatment, the medial, central, and lateral portions of the brow should be evaluated separately. Applications planned without analyzing brow position in relation to eye shape, frontalis muscle activity, and facial expressions may lead to undesirable outcomes.

Within the Brow Lift Training program, the anatomy of the forehead and periorbital region, thread types, and lifting vectors are discussed in detail. Participants gain systematic knowledge regarding the identification of correct entry points, thread placement depth, and symmetry management. In addition, prevention and management of potential complications such as edema, asymmetry, and thread visibility are emphasized.

During the training process, the clinical rationale for combining brow lifting with botulinum toxin and dermal filler applications is also presented. The aim is to provide physicians with the competence to perform brow lifting not as an isolated procedure, but as part of a comprehensive rejuvenation approach that balances the upper facial segment.
