Genital Aesthetic Applications – Regenerative & Biostimulatory Approaches – Vaginal Rejuvenation with PRP

3/16/2026 Authors: Dr. Levent Ünal

Vaginal rejuvenation with PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) is a regenerative procedure that supports tissue renewal through the use of autologous biological material. Due to its plasma content rich in growth factors and cytokines, PRP aims to enhance cellular activity and improve tissue quality. It may be considered a supportive option in conditions such as dryness, loss of elasticity, and reduced sensitivity that occur as a result of aging, postpartum changes, and hormonal influences in the genital region.

The primary aim of this procedure is not to provide volume, but to improve tissue quality and support local vascularization. However, not every patient is a suitable candidate for PRP treatment. Active infection, coagulation disorders, or unrealistic expectations should always be evaluated during the planning stage.

During the training process, vaginal anatomy, injection planes, PRP preparation protocols, and sterility principles are discussed in detail. In addition, the clinical perspective on in which cases PRP can be combined with RF, laser, and filler applications is presented. The management of side effects such as edema, temporary sensitivity, and minimal bleeding is also emphasized.

The aim is to position PRP application not as a trend-driven procedure, but as a controlled regenerative approach that provides biological support in the appropriate patient population.
