Genital Aesthetic Applications – Pigmentation & Skin Quality – Carbon Peeling Applications

3/16/2026 Authors: Dr. Levent Ünal

Carbon peeling is a laser-assisted procedure commonly used for pigmentation concerns and superficial skin quality issues. Its application in the genital region requires careful patient selection and low-energy parameters. This procedure may play a supportive role, particularly in cases of superficial pigmentation irregularities and uneven skin tone.

However, because the genital region contains mucosal tissue, aggressive applications should be avoided. Incorrect energy selection or inappropriate patient selection may lead to post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and increased sensitivity.

During the training process, genital skin type analysis, safe energy ranges, and post-procedure care protocols are discussed. In addition, it is evaluated how carbon peeling can be combined with mesotherapy and laser applications, rather than being used alone, to achieve more balanced results.

The aim is to position carbon peeling not as a trend-driven procedure, but as a controlled supportive method in selected cases.
