Genital Aesthetic Applications – Functional Aesthetics – Vaginal Dryness Treatments

3/16/2026 Authors: Dr. Levent Ünal

Vaginal dryness is a common mucosal condition that may develop due to hormonal changes, menopause, the postpartum period, or certain systemic treatments. A decrease in estrogen levels may result in mucosal thinning, loss of elasticity, and reduced local vascularization. This condition may lead not only to loss of comfort but also to microtrauma and recurrent irritation.

The primary aim of treatment planning is not to suppress the symptom, but to support mucosal integrity and tissue quality. While local moisturizers and hormonal support therapies may be sufficient in some patients, regenerative injection applications (PRP, hyaluronic acid-based supportive treatments) or energy-based systems (RF, laser) may be considered in more advanced cases. However, invasive approaches are not necessary for every patient.

During the training process, the histological structure of the vaginal mucosa, hormonal influences, and appropriate treatment algorithms are discussed in detail. Participants gain systematic knowledge regarding in which patients medical treatment will be sufficient and in which situations injection or energy-based applications may play a supportive role. In addition, emphasis is placed on preventing conditions such as infection risk, temporary sensitivity, and dissatisfaction resulting from incorrect indications.

The aim is to provide a clinical approach that can evaluate vaginal dryness not only as an aesthetic concern, but also as a functional and biological process.
