Graduated from T.E.D. Ankara College in 1987 and from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1994. Completed his PhD in the Department of Anatomy at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine and received the title of Doctor of Science in 1999. He was awarded the title of Associate Professor in Anatomy in 2004 and Professor in 2010.

Professional Experience
30 years of academic experience, currently ongoing. For the past 5 years, he has been serving as the Director of the Hacettepe University Traditional and Complementary Medicine Center; for the past 8 years, as the Director of the Hacettepe Hospitals Acupuncture and Mesotherapy Unit; for the past 8 years, as the Head of the Department of Anatomy at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine; for the past 6 years, as a Member of the Board of Trustees at TED University; and between 2021–2024, he served as the Dean of Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine.
